International Expressive Arts Festival 2026
18-20 September Online | 9-11 October in Cairo, Egypt

Expressive Arts Therapy Practice
Expressive Arts Therapy (ExAT) is an integrative, multimodal form of psychotherapy that uses visual arts, movement, music, drama, writing, storytelling, and imagination to support healing and personal growth. Rooted in phenomenological philosophy, it honors each person's unique lived experience and invites new meanings and inner resources to emerge through the creative process. Rather than focusing on artistic skill, Expressive Arts Therapy values the wisdom found in images, sounds, movements, symbols, and imagination, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and deeper connection with oneself, others, and the world.
